Imagine my surprise when I get up this morning; brush my teeth, comb my hair, get dressed, put makeup on, get my kids ready for school, and then head out the door... only to back my car out of my garage and find that I can not get out of my garage because someone is parked on the road right in front of it, and blocking my driveway.
Now I ask you... what did this person think the great big white door was to? The pearly gates perhaps? What did this person think the great big building that fits two cars inside of it was? An abandoned barn?
So now I sit, waiting for the police to come and ticket and tow the car because I did not feel like running around my neighborhood knocking on every single door to ask politely "Is that your car? Can you move it please?" Arrrghhhhhh!
This... btw... is not the first time someone has parked across my driveway. In fact, this is about the FOURTH TIME!! WTF?!?!! [img]mad.gif[/img]

Oh gawd Laurie, I am having this drama every morning where I live atm!! Several people in the road where I live are having extensions or work of some kind done to their properties, but before I go out each morning, there is a builder's van parked across my driveway and I can't get out!! [img]mad.gif[/img]

But, because this person couldn't/didn't want to park his car 10 feet further ahead (btw - my street is almost always totally empty so there are tons of places he could have parked that did not involve my driveway and my garage), he has gotten a ticket for blocking me in, a ticket for not cleaning his license plate (that was a bonus because the police could not read the license plate because it was so dirty and that is against the law here) and he also has to pay for the cost of towing and getting his car out of the impound lot. Grand total for him.... $350.
Well hopefully he won't do that again in a hurry if he's got to pay all that in fines Laurie [img]wink.gif[/img]
I guess it's cos some people are so ridiculously lazy that they can't be arsed to walk a few yards [img]tongue.gif[/img]

Laurie and Janie sounds like you need one of those monster trucks so you can just drive over the offending vehicle and crush it without damaging your own [img]wink.gif[/img]

There surely are some ignorant sods about aren't there? It used to happen to me too when the ppl opposite were having some building work done. [img]graemlins/sure.gif[/img] I lost count of the times that I had to go and ask the builders to move their truck(s). [img]mad.gif[/img]
